Big Girl!!!

Ella is turning into such a big girl! She thinks she is too big for her highchair and needs to sit at the table with her brothers. She has been climbing out of her highchair lately, so we decided to pull out Hudson's booster seat and give it a try.....she LO VES it!!! She sits with the family at the table and doesn't try to climb out- yeah! These pics are of her eating her supper from a bowl and using utensils for the first time!!! She did pretty good to be 14 months old! She definitely is growing up faster than I'd like for her to!

Happy Birthday Hunter!

My stepbrother's little boy, Hunter, celebrated his 2nd birthday yesterday. They had a "splash" party in the backyard with pools, a slip-n-slide, and outdoor toys galore. All 3 of the kids had a blast!! Ella hung right in there with her big brothers....she was slippin & sliden with the best of them. They were exhausted when we left and were asleep within seconds of us pulling out of the driveway! Happy Birthday Hunter!!

Back to School!

Brady started back to school today. He's in K4 at Park Place Christian Academy. He was so cute this morning when he was getting ready....I was telling him how he was such a big boy and how he gets to move upstairs this year and how much he's going to learn this year. He looked straight up at me with the sweetest look on his face and asked, "I'm I going to learn to read today?" It was soooo precious. He is just so eager to learn! I just hope he stays that way!

We have a new teacher this year, Mrs. Bass. Although his K3 teacher is one of a kind and will always be so dear to us, I really think he's going to have a good year with Mrs. Bass. She seems really sweet and full of energy (which is a big plus for teaching K4). He's growing up way too fast! I still cannot believe that he will be five in September. Someone, please tell me how five years can pass in just the blink of eye!

Jellystone Park

Today, some friends and I took our kids to Yogi Bear's Jellystone park which is a campground park on Pelahatchie Lake. It's about 15 minutes from my house and they open their facilities to noncampers as well. It's a nice campground area with a splashground (it's actually a large playground with geysers & slides in a small pool), a zero entry pool, a beach area & lake, paddle-boats, put-put golf, tennis courts, and a gameroom. Not only is this place clean and SUPER kid friendly, but it's also "pocket-book" friendly as well. It's $6 per person (on weekdays, $9 on weekends) and that covers everything!! They have a hay ride through the campground and supply you with water guns to shoot at the campers as they pass by....of course my kids thought that was great! Oh, yeah you can also bring a cooler with your own drinks, lunches, & snacks (once again, pocketbook friendly)! If you live in the area, I highly recommend you try it out.....it's definitely the best kept secret around!!! My kids had a blast.....Brady put it best, "tons and tons of water fun!" Needless to say, they were worn out when we left. No kidding, Hudson & Ella were asleep before we pulled out of the parking lot. I was able to get a picture of Ella in her bed once I transitioned her from the car to her crib.....she never budged! Here's some pics from our day!
